Public Hearings - 2024-2026 Community Development Block Grant Program

The City of Springdale will hold two public hearings for the purpose of hearing public comments on the community development needs of the City of Springdale and to discuss the possible submission of one or more Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) applications for the 2024, 2025, and 2026 program years. The public hearings will be held during the regular City Council meetings on April 3, 2024 at 7:00 p.m. and April 17, 2024 at 7:00 p.m. in the Council Chambers of the Springdale Municipal Building, 11700 Springfield Pike, Springdale, Ohio 45246.

The CDBG program is administered by the Community Development Department of Hamilton County, Ohio, and will make funds available to eligible local governments for housing, economic development, public facilities, public infrastructure, and planning activities, with the principal purpose of benefitting low/moderate income persons. The first hearing held on April 3, 2024 will provide further information about the CDBG program and will allow citizens to provide feedback on potential projects and/or share ideas for alternative proposals. Comments on the CDBG program or proposed project(s) will be received at this time. The second hearing on April 17, 2024 will review the projects that the City of Springdale intends to submit to Hamilton County for funding. 

The hearings are being conducted pursuant to 24 CFR 570.486 and in compliance with the requirements of the Housing and Community Development Act of 1974, as amended. Written comments may be submitted at the Springdale Municipal Building, 11700 Springfield Pike, Springdale, Ohio 45246 or via email at admin [at] springdale.org until April 22, 2024.
