Charter & Code of Ordinances

The City of Springdale has a Charter form of government. See Home Rule Charter for Springdale, Ohio. It is managed by a City Administrator who is appointed by the Mayor and who serves as the City's Chief Administrative Officer.

The City's electoral process is non-partisan. Under the Charter, the Mayor is Springdale's senior elected official, and serves as the directly elected Chief Executive of the City. Springdale also has an elected Clerk of Council/Finance Director, and a seven member City Council. Three of the members of Council are elected at large, and four are elected from districts. The Council selects a President of Council from its own ranks to preside at meetings.
