Regardless of the method of submittal, your application will not be considered completed without a complete set of construction drawings attached (Structural, Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, etc. as applicable). Drawings prepared by a registered professional must bear the seal of the registered professional. Drawings are not required for reroofing using asphalt shingles or replacement heating, cooling and mechanical units where the replacements are like units in the same location as existing equipment.
Please note that effective February 2019, all permits for new construction, additions, alterations involving building envelope and/or alterations to mechanical or electrical equipment will be required to submit the Energy Code Compliance Checklist that is part of the application above.
Fees are not required for improvements to 1, 2 & 3 family properties and individual condominium units except for new dwellings and room additions. A penalty fee of $50.00 will be required if work on these properties commences without first acquiring a permit.
If applicable, the permit fee amounts can be found in the Springdale Building Code. A minimum plan review payment in the amount of ½ of the permit fee but not less than $100.00 will be required to be submitted at the time of application. The balance of the fee will be required prior to issuance of the permit. Plan review fees are non-refundable.
Fees are subject to a State of Ohio Board of Building Standards surcharge in addition to the set permit fees in the amount of:
- 3% of the permit fee for all properties except 1, 2 and 3 family properties.
- 1% of the permit fee for 1,2 and 3 family properties.
