About the Springdale Veterans Memorial

From the Revolutionary War through present day, Springdale has been home to many who have been willing to serve, and for over 230 years, many of them have made the ultimate sacrifice to defend the America they believed in.  Nationally, we are losing World War II veterans at a rate of more than 1,500 per day.  It is fast becoming too late to say “thank you” to what has been called “the greatest generation.”

The Springdale Veterans Memorial is a timely and fitting tribute to the men and women, living or deceased, who have proudly worn an American uniform and have been willing to die for the freedoms we all cherish.  Our Latin motto, “Semper Memoria Tenere,” means “Always hold in your mind,” or “Always Remember.”  The Springdale Veterans Memorial is a lasting tribute and a vehicle to enable future generations to “Always Remember.”

Engraved paverstones may be purchased for placement at the Springdale Veterans Memorial. Pavers are installed once per year. Orders must be received prior to February 1st to be installed in time for Memorial Day. Orders placed on or after February 1st will not be installed until the following year.
