Taking care of large equipment, police cruisers, trucks, mowers, and other small tools used by City staff is a daunting task for the department. Two (2) full-time mechanics are responsible for the upkeep of over 100 pieces of equipment on a daily basis. Our staff is also responsible for the underground fuel tanks which hold both diesel and gas and the fuel pumps associated with them. We have an ASCE Master Mechanic on staff to help us maintain everything to the highest level.
