Are the facilities accessible to people in wheelchairs or with special needs?

Yes, all facilities are handicapped accessible.

Are there Volunteer opportunities?

Yes, Springdale Youth Boosters are always looking for volunteers to help at the concession stand.

As a non-member resident, can I buy a day pass to play at the Community Center?

No, you must be a member or come as the guest of a member to utilize the facilities.

Can I bring my dog to the park?

Yes, dogs are allowed in the park but not on the playground or on the athletic fields. Additionally, dogs must be leashed and cleaned up after.

Can I reserve a picnic area?

The picnic area cannot be reserved, but we like to know about large groups so we can provide adequate trash receptacles.

Do the parks have bathrooms?

There portable restroom at Ross, Cameron and Beacon Hill parks, March-May. The outdoor restrooms at the Community Center are open when the facility is open.

Do you have to be a member to use the facilities or take a class?

You need to be a member to use the facilities and rent a room, but not to take a class.

Do you hire seasonal staff?

Yes, we hire lifeguards, pool gate attendants, concession workers and parks maintenance staff. Please apply early in the year for these positions.

How can I get on a mailing list?

Give us a call or goplay [at] springdale.org (e-mail) us. We’ll include you in our e-mail updates. All residents will also receive information on the Center through the resident newsletter.

How do I register for programs?

Springdale Community Center Members can register online.

How do I report unsafe conditions at a park?

Either call the Parks & Recreation Department at 346-3910 or if it is an emergency, call the Police Department at 346-5760 or 911.

How will I know if an activity is being canceled due to weather?

For all program, activity and sport updates, contact the Community Center at 346-3910 and enter extension 8049

I have a suggestion, who should I talk to?

Any supervisor on duty will be glad to talk with you, or you can fill out a Customer Comment Card located on the counter of the front desk.

What are the distances of the outdoor tracks?

The longest track is 1 mile in length, the loop around Field 3, 4, and 5 is .59 miles, the loop around Field 1 and 2 is .51 miles, the loop around Fields 3 and 6 is .42 miles and the loop around Fields 4 and 5 is .40 miles.

What methods of payment do you accept?

Cash, check, Visa, MasterCard, and Discover are all accepted.
