Debris Removal Program

Residents may request a city truck for removal of debris not picked up by our regular trash collectors. The truck will be provided to the property owner for his/her use only. Any construction debris loaded on a city truck must be only from improvements made by the property owner NOT AS A RESULT OF WORK THAT HAS BEEN PERFORMED BY A CONTRACTOR NOR BY THE RESIDENT AT ANOTHER ADDRESS OUTSIDE OF THE CITY OF SPRINGDALE. One dump truck and one pick up truck are available from April 1st thru October 1st. The rest of the year one pickup truck is available. Residents may have a truck twice per calendar year.  The cost for the trucks is $50 for a pick-up truck and $80 for a dump truck.

A property owner may schedule a truck by completing a Debris Removal Release form at the Municipal Building located at 11700 Springfield Pike between 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. Monday thru Friday. Payment is due at the time of scheduling. Payment may be made by cash, check or Visa/MasterCard.

The City will contact you upon receipt of the DEBRIS REMOVAL PROGRAM RELEASE FORM AND PAYMENT to let you know which of your requested dates is available. The trucks are scheduled first come-first serve.

In consideration of services to be rendered to the undersigned and other good and valuable considerations, the receipt of which are hereby acknowledged, the undersigned hereby releases and discharges the City, its agents and employees, against any and all liability, claims, demands, costs, damages and expenses of any kind hereinafter the “claims”, including, but not limited to, those arising out of the undersigned’s use of the City’s property in and about the premises known as:

The undersigned further agrees to hold harmless and indemnify the City, its agents and employees, from any and all claims, including reasonable attorneys’ fees, which the City may incur as a result of allowing the undersigned to use City property.

The undersigned represents that they are the owners of said premises, have invited the City of Springdale, Ohio, and its employees and agents upon the premises, and have the right to grant this release. This release shall be binding upon the undersigned, their heirs and assigns.

A truck will be provided to the property owner of the above address for his/her use. Said truck may be used to load debris upon for disposal. Any construction debris loaded on a city truck must be only from improvements made by the property owner at the above address NOT AS A RESULT OF WORK THAT HAS BEEN PERFORMED BY A CONTRACTOR OR BY A RESIDENT AT ANOTHER ADDRESS OUTSIDE OF THE CITY OF SPRINGDALE.

Owner agrees he/she shall not operate or otherwise move the vehicle or operate any equipment which is accessory to the vehicle.

The City will contact you upon receipt of your REGISTRATION FORM AND PAYMENT to let you know which date is available. The trucks are scheduled first come-first served.

Instructions

The City of Springdale will park a truck in the driveway at your residence at approximately 3:00 p.m. on the scheduled date and will remove it at approximately 7:00 a.m. on the following workday morning.

NOTE: The following items / materials are prohibited and therefore may not be loaded onto trucks: NO garbage, rubbish, chemicals, hazardous materials, paint, oil, batteries, tires, appliances with freon and NO yard waste which includes grass clippings, leaves, limbs, branches, pruning, hedge trimmings, sod and other plant material.

If prohibited items are found to have been loaded onto the truck, the items will be unloaded and left at the premises. If they are not discovered until after the load has been placed in the landfill, additional charges may apply.

TRUCKS ARE NOT TO BE LOADED HIGHER THAN THE SIDES OF THE TRUCK. IF THE DRIVER FEELS THE LOAD IS UNSAFE TO TRANSPORT, SOME ITEMS MAY BE UNLOADED.

Furthermore, the undersigned property owner warrants and represents they have valid and adequate insurance coverage and accepts financial responsibility for any and all damages which might occur to a city owned vehicle during any period of time such vehicle is left at the premises of such property owner, at his/her request and for his/her convenience. Financial responsibility for such damage shall accrue regardless of whether the property owner is directly responsible for this damage.
Signature
The fee for a Pickup Truck is $50.00. The fee for a Dump Truck is $80.00.
