Business Resources

The City of Springdale wants your business! To encourage new investment and redevelopment of existing structures, Springdale has several programs in place to reduce initial capital investment expenses.

The Community Reinvestment Area (CRA) Program is a direct incentive tax exemption program benefiting property owners who renovate existing or construct new buildings.  This program permits municipalities to designate areas as CRA districts to encourage the construction of new housing stock and the construction, renovation, or expansion of commercial/industrial structures.

Springdale’s Job Creation and Retention Incentive (JCRI) program benefits businesses locating new operations or expanding existing operations within the City by providing the organization with a “Forgivable Line-of-Credit.”  The Forgivable Line-of-Credit provides an annual payment calculated on the basis of the new payroll created or retained in the City of Springdale.  A minimum annual payroll of $1 million is required to be eligible for the program.  Payments to the business are made once per year for up to ten years provided the anticipated annual total payrolls have been achieved.
