IMMUNIZATIONS

The Springdale Health Department partners with the Ohio Department of Health (ODH) to provide routine childhood vaccines through the Vaccines for Children (VFC) Program.

We offer vaccines for children (birth through 18 years of age) if the child is uninsured, underinsured, or is enrolled in Medicaid.

We offer limited vaccines for uninsured adults (19 years and older).

COMMUNICABLE DISEASE REPORTING

The Springdale Health Department conducts surveillance for communicable diseases.  Communicable diseases are contagious and can spread from person to person.  Certain communicable diseases are required be reported to the local health department under Ohio Administrative Codes (3701-3-02, 3107-3-05, 3701-3-12).  Examples of reportable communicable diseases include but are not limited to:  hepatitis, measles, rabies, salmonella, and whooping cough.
