This July the Springdale Community Center celebrates Park and Recreation Month by hosting a variety of opportunities for people of all ages, abilities, and identities to achieve healthier lifestyles, promote and understand nature, as well as bringing the community closer! Join us for the following events which are FREE and open to the community:
• Story Book Walk - Evert Friday in July a new story will be placed around our 1/2 mile outdoor track geared for ages 1-7 years old. Walk is open M-Sun during building hours of operation.

• 30-Min Workout - Each week a new 30 minute body weight workout will be posted in the Amphitheater for community members to complete. • Pet Photo Day - Monday, July 11 9-10 AM and 6-7 PM Bring your leashed pet to get their photo taken and take a walk. Lite refreshments provided. Photos will be taken in the Springdale Community Center Picnic area. • Art in the Park - The community is encouraged to show us their artistic ability and we will display their work at the Concerts in the Park on Thursday, July 21. Art can be painted or drawn and must have the theme of "Nature" or "Play in the Park". • Teddy Bear Picnic - On Friday, July 29 at 10-11AM we will be hosting a picnic at the SCC outdoor playground. Come play with us and bring your lunch for a picnic in the park! Lite refreshments provided.

Spend part of Father's Day with dad and the rest of the family at the annual Family Fun Day at the pool. We will have plenty of games and activities for the whole family to enjoy. This event is free to pool members. All others must pay a $3.00 gate fee.
That’s right, concerts in the park is back! We will have high energetic live entertainment in our outdoor amphitheater behind the Springdale Community Center. Our local Springdale Youth Boosters will have food and cold beverages for sale.

The Springdale Parks and Recreation Department will host the Junior Olympics at the Springdale Community Center. The event is comprised of 8 competitive events for boys and girls ages 4 and under through age 10. This event is free and open to the public.
SCC Members can register online. Participants should pre-register at the Community Center beginning July 20.
Day of event sign in is from 10:00am – 11:00am. Events will begin at 10:00 a.m., and then conclude at approximately 11:30 a.m. with awards to follow. Each participating child will be automatically registered to win door prizes that will be drawn during the awards ceremony.

Family and friends of all ages will slop their way through an obstacle course designed to be a muddy fun time. Located on the Community Center grounds.

Fun for the whole family! Each fall, Springdale Youth Boosters hosts a family movie night in the Amphitheater at the Springdale Community Center. Bring chairs and blankets to get comfortable during the movie. The concession stand will be open for a variety of snacks, hot dogs, drinks, and of course popcorn! FREE for everyone.

Come tumble, run, jump and play with us during Tiny Gym Time at the Springdale Community Center on Friday's in October from 10:00 a.m. -11:30 a.m. Starting Friday, October 7.

Calling all dads, uncles, grandfathers, or adult role models! Put on your Sunday best and accompany your “Princess” to a night of wonder. The Springdale Youth Boosters will be hosting a Father - Daughter Dance. The evening will include a keepsake photo, DJ with dancing, pizza, ice cream floats and more! Best of all you’ll create a memory your little princess will never forget.
Cost for ticket(s) is $25.00 per couple and $5.00 per additional daughter. Tickets are required and must be purchased in advance at the Springdale Community Center. Tickets go on sale September 1. All proceeds go to Springdale Youth Sports.

This is the tenth year for our monster-mashing Halloween event. We will have plenty of activities, games, and treats for kids ages 2 through fourth grade! You must wear a costume to participate. Pre event registration begins September 20.

Springdale Veteran’s Memorial In honor of those who have defended our freedom, many paying the supreme sacrifice, Springdale will present a special ceremony in commemoration of Veteran’s Day. Parking is available at the Municipal Complex.

Santa Claus is coming to OUR town on Monday, November 28 at 7:00 PM for the City of Springdale Annual Tree Lighting! We'll be celebrating with cookies, carols, and pictures with Santa following the tree lighting. FREE and open to the public. Tree Lighting will be held in the Springdale Municipal Building.

This winter after each snow, put your best boot forward in building your finest snow creation. Once you have your snow creation built, submit a picture of you with your creation to goplay@springdale.org along with your name and Springdale address. Contest runs from December 1 through February 28. Winner will be posted on our City Facebook page and published in our annual Parks and Recreation Program Guide.

Get your Santa suits and running shoes ready to help support a great cause! Join us on Saturday, December 3 as we race into the holiday season for the Springdale Santa 5k. All proceeds from the race will benefit Springdale Offering Support (S.O.S.) After the race grab a cup of cocoa, some cookies, and get your picture taking with Santa!

Springdale Youth Boosters (SYB) will be hosting their annual winter sports pep rally on Friday January 6. All Springdale basketball teams and cheer squad will be in full force. The community is invited to join as each team will be recognized and members will be inducted to the Springdale Youth Sports Memorial Hall of Fame by the Mayor.

City Service & U is a unique program that gives Springdale residents entering 5th-8th grades the opportunity to learn more about our city and its employees.
