General: Under the direction of the Fitness Center Manager, the Fitness Instructor will be responsible for new member orientations, health screenings, guidance and motivation to Fitness Center patrons, maintaining a clean and safe environment, and perform other duties as required.

 Qualifications: College level courses in a health/fitness related field or a current personal training certification from a nationally recognized organization in the health/fitness industry are preferred.  Applicant will need to commit to a flexible 15-20 hour/week schedule that could include day, evening and weekend shifts. 

 Compensation: $8 - $10 per hour.

2008 Aquatic Positions Available

Assistant Aquatic Director

Responsible for assisting in the management and operation of the municipal swimming pool. Seasonal position begins in April and ends mid September. Duties include preseason/postseason pool preparations, hiring and supervision of aquatic staff and organization of special pool related events. Knowledge of pool chemistry, filtration and daily maintenance is essential. Current certification in Lifeguarding, Water Safety Instructor, CPR and First Aid. Salary range $4500.00-$6000.00 DOQ. EOE.

Lifeguards

American Red Cross Lifeguarding, Standard First Aid and CPR or equivalents required. Certification in American Red Cross Water Safety Instructor preferred. Day, night and weekend hours required. Pay range $7.75-$12.00 per hour DOQ. EOE.

Pool Gate Attendant

Great position for anyone who likes people and the outdoors! Position requires ability to work day, night and weekend hours. Pay range $7.25-$10.00 per hour DOQ. EOE

PARKS MAINTENANCE

Applicants must be at least 16 years of age.  Work schedule is 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Monday through Friday. Additional hours are required on some weekends and at special events throughout the summer.  Duties include grass cutting, trash pick up field preparation, and general labor.  Salary Range:  $7.25-$12.50 per hour.
