Complete and Return Your
2010 Census Form.

Coming soon...
Census forms will be mailed to our homes in March.

It's simple...
The basic form is one page, 10 questions that should take about 10 minutes to complete.

It's safe...
The information you provide is safe. By law, the Census cannot share your answers with anyone, even other agencies.

Did you know...
That filling out and returning your census form will help Springdale and surrounding communities get federal funding…

  • to provide Springdale residents with public health services such as flu vaccinations and vaccinations for children without insurance.

  • to pay salaries and provide training for the teachers that educate our children.

  • for the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) and other federal, state and county funding opportunities.

It's important...
By completing your form, and being counted, you help our community get its full share of federal dollars that help pay for our schools, roads and sidewalks, law enforcement and fire protection, job training, health care and a lot more.

We move forward when you send it back…

That's why it's so important that you fill in the U.S. Census form you will receive in March and promptly mail it back.

Census information affects the numbers of seats our state occupies in the U.S. House of Representatives.

For each person who is not counted, the city can expect to lose about $1,200 in grants each year. For every ten people not counted, the city will lose about $120,000 over the ten years until the next census

.

When you do the math, it's easy to see what an accurate count of residents can do for our community. Better infrastructure and more services. In fact, the information the census collects helps to determine how more than $400 billion dollars of federal funding each year is spent on:

  • Hospitals
  • Job training centers
  • Schools
  • Senior centers
  • Bridges, tunnels and other-public works projects
  • Emergency services

Participation isn’t just important – it’s mandatory
