Q. Is the City of Springdale located within the City of Cincinnati?
A. No, the City of Springdale has no affiliation with the City of Cincinnati. Although the post office will deliver mail to a Springdale location with a Cincinnati mailing address, this does not mean the location is in Cincinnati. Springdale is its own municipality and operates under its own charter separate from any other city.
Q. Are my property taxes paid to the County Treasurer the same as the income tax?
A. No, the two are completely different. The property taxes are assessed based on the value of the property you own. The income tax is based on income earned. The property taxes are paid directly to the County Treasurer. The income tax is based on a filing made to the Springdale Tax Department.
Q. Can I pay my taxes owed using a credit card?
A. Yes, the Tax Department does accept Visa/MasterCard payments. If you owe taxes and want to pay at the time you send in the filing, on the back of the Individual Return form is a section to fill out regarding the credit card information. The credit card portion of the form must be signed to be processed. We will not accept the information over the phone.
Q. I am not a resident of the City of Springdale, but my work location is in the City of Springdale and several times a year I am sent to work outside the City of Springdale, yet my company continues to withhold 1.5% of my income. Am I entitled to a refund for the portion I was working out of Springdale?
