Mrs. Mitrione said there will be an exercise on October 18
covering pandemic influenza. It will

Maple Knoll Community Services Board
Mrs. Mitrione reported that Ray Kingsbury, director of the board, resigned and Harold Burkholder retired. She said the Bingo game that had been moved to Greenhills has been losing revenue and they were going to give it up.
SOS
Mrs. Hart asked about SOS (Springdale Offering Support). Mrs. Mitrione replied she had talked to Rob Trienen and they have done good work on the Niehaus property. She said a few people have donated money for that project.
NURSE’S REPORT
Flu Shot Clinics
Mrs. Hicks reported that 430 people have signed up so
far. She said we expect to get 50
percent of the vaccine from ODH and all of the vaccine from Besse
so we should have enough to cover those people signed up on November 3rd. There is no simple solution for local health
departments to order the vaccine. The
vaccine is paid for partly through federal and state grant money. Mrs. Hicks stated she will have six nurses
plus the Health Department employees to help with the clinic. She said if there is no vaccine available for
November 3rd, we will move those people to November 9th.
Respectfully submitted,
Health Commissioner
