Mrs. Mitrione said

REPORT
Children’s Health Fair
Mrs. Mitrione said the teacher/parent evaluations of the
fair were good. She said the fair will
be held at the
The Willows
Mrs. Mitrione stated there was a bad flood in the pool area of The Willows a few years ago. She said they submitted building plans for new pool bathroom facilities. Mrs. Mitrione said they asked to open the pool without restroom facilities. They asked if it would be okay to use port-a-lets and a sanitizer.
Food Sampling Program
Mrs. Mitrione reported that all the cold foods and half of the soft serve samples had been taken and tested. She said she would like to correlate the sampling program with inspections.
FSO Problem at Perkins
Mrs. Mitrione said there is a new owner at Perkins and that they have been having some critical violations. She said the Health Department had an administrative meeting with them and fifteen employees had been trained.
SOS Program
Mrs. Mitrione stated they are making progress with the SOS program. She said the Health Department had received two requests for help with prescriptions.
MARCS Radio
Mrs. Mitrione showed the group her new MARCS radio that will allow her to communicate with ODH and other health departments during emergency situations.
Coyote Sightings
Mrs. Mitrione said coyotes in the
Summer Activities
Mrs. Mitrione said some of the activities scheduled for this summer are MVRMA supervisory training for her, mammography van at the Community Center, hazmat training and a ServSafe class.
Sanitarian Resignation
Mrs. Mitrione reported that Leslie Dow has resigned as
part-time pool and food establishment sanitarian. Mrs. Mitrione said she had talked with
someone who had applied two years ago and she is interested in the job. This person is a retired
NURSE’S REPORT
Complaint at The Willows
Ms. Messer stated that she had a complaint about a great grandmother living in a filthy apartment with two young boys. Ms. Messer said the woman is raising the two boys by herself and is moving out of the apartment.
Meningitis Vaccine
Dr. Webb reported that there is a new meningitis vaccine out
that has been approved down to age eleven.
