SPRINGDALE, OHIO HEALTH DEPARTMENT
Mission Statement
The Springdale Health Department exists to preserve and protect the health and well-being of our community by doing all that it can to promote health and prevent disease.
The Springdale Health Department consists of the Board of Health, a Health Commissioner/Environmental Health Director, Nursing Director, Medical Director, a secretary, and three part-time sanitarians.
The Springdale Board of Health is the policy making body of the Health Department and is comprised of five local citizens appointed by the Mayor and approved by the City Council. The Mayor is President of the Board by virtue of his office. The Board appoints the Health Commissioner who along with the staff enforces the rules and regulations of the State of Ohio and the Board of Health, and carries out the programs designed to meet the needs of the community. The Board meets at 7:00 p.m. on the second Thursday of each month in the Municipal Building and is open to the public.
