2. Room uses
3. Window locations and sizes (existing & proposed)
4. Wall framing and firring (size & spacing)
5. Wall finish
6. Door locations & sizes
7. Ceiling finishes
8. Electric outlet, switch lighting locations

1. An AC wired smoke detector with battery back-up is required in the basement and one is required on each floor. On floors where there are bedrooms, the detector must be inside and outside of the bedrooms.

2. Bedrooms are only permitted in basements where an emergency egress window is provided in the bedroom. This window must have a clear opening of 24" high minimum and 20" wide minimum with a minimum 5 square feet opening. The window sill may not be more than 44" from the floor.
