Chief Michael H. Mathis- Michael Mathis has been a member of the Springdale Police Department since 1986. He has served as a patrol officer, detective, patrol sergeant, patrol lieutenant, the lieutenant in charge of investigations, and was recently promoted to Chief. Mike graduated from Finneytown High School in 1979 and has a Bachelor of Science degree in Police Administration from Eastern Kentucky University. He has also attended advanced training through the Police Executive Leadership College and the Certified Law Enforcement Executive training program. Mike is the liaison officer to the Terrorism Early Warning Group and he also serves as a task force officer on the FBI Greater Cincinnati Metropolitan Mortgage Fraud Task Force. Mike lives in Hamilton County with his wife and two children. He is actively involved in his church. He enjoys reading about military history, hiking, and traveling.
