Sergeant Randy Pierce has served the City of Springdale since 1986. Sgt. Pierce is currently a Patrol Supervisor. Previously, Sgt. Pierce served in the positions of Crime Prevention Officer, DARE Officer, and Firearms trainer. He is currently a Certified TASER instructor. Sgt. Pierce is a 2004 graduate of the Police Executive Leadership College. In 1999, Sgt. Pierce received the Hamilton County Police Appreciation and Achievement Award for Contribution to Law Enforcement. Sgt. Pierce has served as an instructor in Ohio Basic Police Academy Classes in Greenfield Ohio. He competed in the Ohio Police and Fire Games in the Combat Pistol event in 1995 (bronze medal), 1996 (gold medal) and 2002 (silver medal). Sgt. Pierce is a 1981 graduate of Lebanon (Ohio) High School, and attended Miami University. He was employed in the Security department at Kings Island Amusement Park when he was hired by the Springdale Police Department. He met his wife while they were both employed at Kings Island. He and his family reside in Springdale, and his children attend Princeton City Schools. Sgt. Pierce is an active member of the Forestdale Church of Christ in Springdale, and a member of Peace Officers For Christ International. He has served as a Cub Scout leader in Springdale Pack 264. Sgt. Pierce is committed to serving the community both on and off duty.
