Ritchy Tuazon - Officer Ritchy Tuazon grew up in Northwest Chicago, Illinois. He graduated from Prosser Vocational High School where he excelled in Computer Applications and a member of the wrestling team. He then graduated from Northeastern Illinois University with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration / Accounting. Officer Tuazon has found that many of the courses he took in college and 15 years in business experience relate to his duties as a police officer. He often finds his management experience and training has been helpful in projects he has been assigned while at the police department. He feels his previous work experience has readied him for the position he now holds.. After being sworn in as a Springdale Police Officer he attended Great Oaks Police Academy where he was appointed class president and obtained his state certification. Officer Tuazon has received specialized training since then to include; Tactical Defense Institute training, Less Lethal Weapons Training, Unarmed Self-Defense and Apprehension, Advanced F.A.S.T, Officer Survival and Computer Web Design. Officer Tuazon has been serving the City of Springdale as a Patrol Officer since 2005. He is a member of the Springdale Police Dept. Honor Guard. He was assigned to help redesign the police department web site in 2007. Officer Tuazon has aspirations of becoming a member of the county’s SWAT / DART Team. He enjoys riding his Harley Davidson Ultra Classic, working on remote controlled unmanned vehicles, cycling and computers in his spare time.
