Joe Ture - Josef Ture was born 1958 in Dayton Ohio. He lived in Kettering until the age of ten when his family moved to Centerville. He graduated Centerville High School in 1977. In January of 1980, he joined the United States Air Force. Joe went through basic training at Lackland Air Force Texas and technical training at Chanute Air Force Base Illinois. He served the remainder of his four year enlistment at Mac Dill Air Force Base in Florida as a jet engine mechanic. Joe accepted a position with the Springdale Police Department on March 27th, 1985. He was sent to the Ohio State Patrol Academy and graduated top of his class. After graduating the academy, Joe was assigned to road patrol. In 1987, Joe applied for and was selected for the K-9 position. Joe served in this position with his K-9 Smokey until 1994, when Smokey was retired. Joe is currently assigned to the road patrol division.
