James Grindle - Detective Jim Grindle is a native to the Greater Cincinnati area, growing up in Norwood in the late 50s then moving to West Chester Ohio by the early 1960s. He graduated from Lakota High School in 1975 and began working with the West Chester Fire Department. In 1979 he attended Dee Russell Lee where he graduated the Police Academy and began actively pursuing his Police Career. In November of 1980 Jim began employment with the City of North College Hill where he worked for the next 10 years. In 1989 Jim began testing with the City of Springdale and was employed in January of 1990 as a road patrolman. By August of 1993 he was assigned to the Investigative Unit were he has served for the last 14 years. He has also been the recipient of the Springdale Officer of the year award in 1998. Detective Grindle has been married for 26 years, with 2 children and one grandchild. He and his wife enjoy travel. They have been on 13 cruises including a two week cruise to Europe in October of 2005.
