2006 TORCH RUN INCENTIVE AWARDS

It is important that all runners and participants remember that the Law Enforcement Torch Run for Special Olympics is a fund-raiser to benefit the Special Olympics program in Ohio.� As such runners are encouraged to secure sponsorships from persons or businesses in preparation for the run.� For those who work to grow this effort, the Torch Run committee has established incentive awards for those runners.� These incentives are easy to obtain, and are awards that any law enforcement officer will be able to wear, or display with pride.

For those who raise:

$6,000 - The runner will travel to Buffalo, NY, for the International Law Enforcement Torch Run Conference.� The conference is a mix of short workshops on the Torch Run with social events such as a pin and t-shirts exchange with torch run programs from around the world.� An auction of torch run and other collectible items.� There are social events to allow networking of torch run planners from around the world, a Plane Pull, and a 5 k run for all in attendance.� For those who raise the incentive amount, you will receive transportation, hotel, and registration for the conference, which includes all meals while at the conference.
