2006 TORCH RUN INCENTIVE AWARDS

It is important that all runners and participants remember that the Law Enforcement Torch Run for Special Olympics is a fund-raiser to benefit the Special Olympics program in Ohio.  As such runners are encouraged to secure sponsorships from persons or businesses in preparation for the run.  For those who work to grow this effort, the Torch Run committee has established incentive awards for those runners.  These incentives are easy to obtain, and are awards that any law enforcement officer will be able to wear, or display with pride.

For those who raise:

$6,000 - The runner will travel to Buffalo, NY, for the International Law Enforcement Torch Run Conference.  The conference is a mix of short workshops on the Torch Run with social events such as a pin and t-shirts exchange with torch run programs from around the world.  An auction of torch run and other collectible items.  There are social events to allow networking of torch run planners from around the world, a Plane Pull, and a 5 k run for all in attendance.  For those who raise the incentive amount, you will receive transportation, hotel, and registration for the conference, which includes all meals while at the conference.

$1,000        Sweater or wind-shirt

$500            Embroidered Shirt

$50               Ohio LETR Hat
