In addition to teaching, Officer Bemmes-Hoctor has numerous other responsibilities. She is the Accreditation Manager. She was instrumental in helping our department earn its first commission on Accreditation for Law Enforcement on March 21, 2007. She maintains the department’s on-going accreditation processes. She also coordinates, organizes and/or participates in all activities that pertain to and involve the youth of Springdale. This includes Safety Town, Summer Bike Program, Christmas/Food for Fines Program, and numerous other community and safety events. Officer Bemmes-Hoctor's training is continuous. She attends at least one DARE conference and attends several training sessions annually. Recent past training includes grant writing, firearms instruction, accreditation and classes to keep current and updated on drug trends in our community.
