David Buschmann - Officer Dave Buschmann retired from the Springdale Police Department on October 1, 2010 after 32 years of service. Officer Dave Buschmann is a 32 year law enforcement veteran who is assigned as the Community Service Officer and Public Information Officer for the Springdale Police Department. He is also a Certified Crime Prevention Specialist through the Ohio Crime Prevention Association. As Community Service Officer, Dave is the contact for community safety education and facilitator of community involvement programs such as neighborhood watch. He has spoken on crime prevention topics to a variety of groups in the City of Springdale. He is a native of Cincinnati and graduated from Xavier University. Dave is a military veteran having served in the U.S. Army as a personnel specialist. He has been a member of the Springdale Police Department for 29 years and served 7 of those years as the department’s first K9 handler.
