Vicky Ritz - Vicky Ritz started with the Springdale Police Department in July 1995, as a violations bureau clerk. She is a high school graduate. Her work background includes bookkeeping, bus driving, school secretarial work and food service. Her interest includes crafting and going to craft shows, cruises and vacations to amusement parks. When she started with the Springdale Police Department she trained with several senior clerks and rotated shifts. She was assigned to the position of Administrative Clerk assisting the Chief, Captain and Detectives. She assists with any project someone needs help with. She has also been trained to fill in for other department personnel in the area of payroll, accounts payable and Mayor’s Court. She has taken several computer courses to update her working knowledge. She has taken a sign language course and a two-day course in basic Spanish. She works Monday thru Friday and enjoys her days off, but if needed she can fill on for the Clerk / Dispatcher. Her job as Administrative clerk is very interesting. She can go from computer work to organizing special events for the department to sending announcements or thank you cards for department members and their families. Her job varies each day. Some tasks include weekly reports, monthly reports, and spreadsheets for specific locations in Springdale.
