The City of Springdale Health Department is pleased to announce the 2011 Springdale 6 Star Honor Award winners among our local restaurants. Springdale has many excellent food services and would like to honor the very best.

This award honors Excellence in Food Safety by considering several factors including the results of routine health inspections and current food safety training. To earn this award the following criteria must be met:

Less than 2 Critical violations during routine Health Department inspections per license year (March 1, 2010 – February 29, 2011)
No follow up inspections / license year
No SmokeFree violations / license year
In good standing with other City of Springdale agencies
Have a valid food license according to the requirements of the Ohio Revised Code for one full license year and renewed license by due date.
Educational requirements: Persons-In-Charge (Manager, Supervisor, Owner) – Show proof of ServSafe Certification or equivalent food safety training.

Restaurants interested in participating filled out an application and sent proof of their employee food safety training to the Springdale Health Department. The following Springdale restaurants earned the “6 Star Honor Award in 2011”:

Maple Knoll – Beecher Place

Maple Knoll – Manor House

Ponderosa Steakhouse

Chick-fil-A

Red Squirrel Restaurant

Windows on the Green Restaurant
